Specialised in employment and social security protection law, Pierre-Jacques Castanet, together with Stanislas Dublineau, heads up the Employment Law Department in the Ile-de-France practice.
Pierre-Jacques has been assisting and advising small and medium-sized enterprises, employers’ organisations and senior executives on employment and social security protection law issues for over 30 years.

As Chairman of the CNBF (Caisse de Retraite des Avocats – Lawyers’ Pension Fund), Chairman of the LPA (La Prévoyance des Avocats), member of the National Council of Bar Associations, representative of the Bar Council (Conseil de l’Ordre des Avocats) and member of the employer delegation to the collective bargaining agreement for salaried employees of law firms, Pierre-Jacques has demonstrated solid commitment to the law profession throughout his career.
These experiences serving his profession mean that Pierre-Jacques is especially mindful of the requirements of economic players. In his various roles, Pierre-Jacques has been able to share his point of view and knowledge with both his colleagues and economic and political stakeholders.
Pierre-Jacques also lectures at vocational training and professional organisations (ELEGIA, MEDEF, CGPME).
Before joining In Extenso Avocats, Pierre-Jacques Castanet was a partner at IDAvocats and Idrac & Associés. In January 2021, he was appointed Chairman of In Extenso Avocats.
